Brentford defender Mads Roerslev is thrilled with his first Denmark call.

Roerslev admits he was planning to have a break this week before taking a phone call from coach Kasper Hjulmand.

He smiled: "I had received a call from Kasper Hjulmand before the press conference, where he had made me aware of the same thing he said there.

"In other words, if something were to come up, he would call me in."

Still, he shook a little over his phone when Hjulmand's name appeared on the screen. For the second time.

"It was very funny. I had just had dinner with my agent and it was a bit of a coincidence. It was a bit of a 'random' time.

"Then I see his name and say I just have to take it. Then it was a bit stressful in relation to how I got out here, but fortunately I was only in Copenhagen. It would have been more difficult if I was in New York."
