Brentford boss Frank: Reguilon deserved red

Brentford boss Thomas Frank had no complaints about Sergio Reguilon's dismissal in defeat to Burnley.

The fullback was sent off on eight minutes.

Frank said: “I'm very proud of the players and very proud of the effort they put into the game. We played an even game, even in the last part of the game.

“The effort and mentality to keep staying in the game was incredible. It's remarkable with 10 against 11 for more than 100 minutes.

“I think it's a red card and a penalty [For Sergio Reguilon's foul on Vitinho]. I think the situation with Ivan [Toney] and the goalkeeper [Arijanet Muric] was a disallowed goal, I understand that.

“But the big mistake was the Zanka [Mathias Jorgensen] penalty eight minutes into the second half – it's a clear, clear, clear penalty."
