Brentford boss Thomas Frank has assured fans of his commitment after former assistant manager Brian Riemer left to take charge of Anderlecht.

Frank was speaking at the Club's Fans Forum earlier this week.

Frank said: “There's so much unfinished business here. For me personally, I love working with the players and with the staff.

“Every single day I think we achieved so much but the crazy thing is, there is even more to achieve in the future.

“I love working with Jon [Varney], Phil [Giles] and Matthew [Benham]. It's very difficult to find what we have here.

“It is very difficult to create that and even though you can get attracted to other things, maybe see something really interesting, it is very important to know what you have and what we have is very special at Brentford."

Frank was also asked about coaches he admires in the Premier League and if he's enjoying his tactical battles with each of them.

He continued: “A manager like Pep Guardiola is potentially the best in the world. He's very innovative, he's developed the game over the last few years now. I know he's got the best players but the way he makes them play is quite unique.

“In some ways it is clear what he is doing and that might make it easier for us to plan against it. When you get teams that are changing shapes and strategies from game to game, that is a bit more difficult. I think one of the things we are quite good at, with our players and staff, is creating a gameplan that can work.

“There are definitely more teams changing styles during the games now, too. Of course, we are prepared for that but it's quite difficult out there to get your message across when the game is happening live. Even if it's to just change the formation slightly or push higher up the pitch. Sometimes it takes a good five minutes before all the players get that message."
