Former Juventus star Liam Brady admits he still feels hurt over the way he was released.
Brady made the admission when discussing Paulo Dybala's pending departure as his contract runs down.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "When Boniperti's secretary called me, I understood everything. It was the worst week of my life."
With the Bianconero from 1980 to 1982, the Irishman was 'freed' by Juve and two years later he signed with Inter Milan. A path that Dybala could take today.
"But I don't think Juve was unfair to him, at least he had a chance to sign. Me, never.
"Initially I didn't want to play anymore. Then I realised I had to. I only asked Trapattoni not to let me take the penalties. Then, on the last day, Virdis was out and I found the courage. It wasn't a great penalty, but the goalkeeper dived to the other side. Dybala should do the same thing."
