Bournemouth are looking at securing former Preston North End defender Sepp van den Berg on loan from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old has been on loan at Preston for the past one and a half seasons, signing initially in January 2021.

Now he is likely to go back out on loan, as he is not in the plans of manager Jurgen Klopp at present.

Van den Berg did impress, playing 66 times for Preston and scoring twice in those games.

Bournemouth may offer him a chance at regular first team football in the Premier League.

The Daily Mail report that the Cherries will make an approach to Liverpool for van den Berg very soon.
