Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is delighted with the progress of Aaron Ramsdale.
The goalkeeper has signed on-loan with Chesterfield.
Howe, who signed the 19-year-old from Sheffield United 12 months ago, told the Daily Echo: “I think it's important Aaron plays games now. He has developed well and trained well. We think he has improved since he has been with us.
“Now the acid test comes – he has got to show that in games. And games which are going to be really important, big-pressure games.
“It will be really interesting to see how he develops from afar because we really do believe he could be a great goalkeeper."
Meanwhile, Sam Matthews' loan spell with National League side Eastleigh has been extended and will now run until the remainder of the current season.
The young midfielder has impressed in what is his second loan spell with the Spitfires.
He has made a total of 21 appearances for the club this season, scoring two goals.
