Bournemouth manager Iraola: Sinisterrra has much to offer

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola was pleased with winger Luis Sinisterra this week.

The attacker is on loan from Leeds United and made his first Premier League start for the club.

Sinisterra had previously been coming off the bench, but won the nod against Crystal Palace.

Speaking after the 2-0 win, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “It is difficult, whenever you are coming from a good performance.

“After Aston Villa, it was difficult to make changes. We decided to give continuity.

“I had it clear I wanted to give Sinisterra a first start, because he was doing so well coming on as a sub.

“I think he deserved to play from the beginning.

“Also I think it is good for Tavernier, because he did an amazing job the other day, he ran a lot and needed some rest."

On the winger's performance, Iraola added: “I think he is much better aerially than probably everyone thinks.

“We can see it in training. He also was part of the goal we scored against Newcastle, from another corner.

“I am happy because he has contributed, not only on the goal, but did a good job defensively.

“It is not an easy game (at Selhurst Park), it is tough, because they have very good individuals.

“He was helping his full-back. I am very happy for him."
