Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes that David Brooks can fill in at central midfield when necessary.
The Cherries are facing injury issues, with Jefferson Lerma, Dan Gosling, Lewis Cook and Andrew Surman all out.
It means that Brooks had to play in the heart of midfield against Newcastle. And Howe was impressed with how he equipped himself in the position.
He told the Daily Echo: "Brooksy did really well when you consider it is a big shift from wide to central.
"We have not done a lot of work with him tactically and he is just a very good player that can play in different positions, which is great for us to have that versatility. I thought Jeff and Brooksy did very well."
