Bournemouth defender Ake happy for Chelsea youngsters

Bournemouth star Nathan Ake admits that he has been keeping tabs on old club Chelsea this season.

Ake has been with the Cherries for the past two years, imrpessing with his mature displays in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has become a key central defender for Eddie Howe.

But he also keeps one eye on his old club, who are rumoured to want to buy him this winter.

"Yeah, 100 per cent [I have been impressed with Chelsea]," he said in an interview with Sky Sports.

"With the transfer ban, they couldn't buy anyone, so they used the youth players and they have done fantastically.

"It's so good to see and I'm so happy for everyone who is playing now.

"Everyone could always see Frank Lampard would become a head coach. The way he was as a player, always trying to help people and on everyone's case.

"I'm very happy for Chelsea."
