Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has explained sending Hamed Traore to Napoli.

The winger has joined the Azzurri on-loan for the remainder of the season.

Iraola told the Daily Echo: “He is one of the players we haven't found the good combinations of players around him, or a good moment to put him in the starting XI.

“But we know he is good. We know he has the level.

“He has, especially lately, had some health issues that makes it worse for his chances.

“But it is true also that we also haven't given him the chance to have a run of games, starting and improving and making the mistakes the other players have been allowed to make.

“But these are decisions you have to take and you can't give the minutes to everyone."
