Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has been explaining the decision to axe former manager Lee Bradbury. Bradbury left Dean Court on Sunday following 14 months in charge with the Cherries lying 13th in League One.
Paul Groves and Shaun Brooks will lead the team in the immediate future, and Mitchell remained coy about how Bournemouth will go about appointing a new full-time boss.
"Lee, as you know, has had 100 per cent support from me from day one and that never changed so I don't really want to comment on other people. It's just a case that there is a change and that's the only thing I'd like to say about it.
"First and foremost, Paul will be taking charge of the team and Shaun will assist him. Over and above that I wouldn't want to say. I don't think it's my place to comment on things further ahead than that.
"I just don't feel it's my place to comment on where we are in the league. As far as I'm concerned the situation is as it is and I wish Lee a great future. I'm sure our paths will cross again and I hope we remain friends." "It's what's best for the football club," he told BBC Radio Solent.
