Bournemouth and Leeds tension rises after Adams offer

Premier League side Bournemouth have triggered Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams' release clause.

The American international is a hot property this summer and was even linked to Chelsea.

While that move did not materialize, Adams may still be heading back to the Premier League.

Per The Athletic, the Cherries put in a shock bid to secure Adams on Monday, when his release clause was still active.

However, Leeds are now stating that they did not get the bid in time, and that his clause is now expired.

Adams, who played 26 games last term, wants to leave and may have to push the matter with the Leeds hierarchy.
