Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel admits turning down Manchester United.
After 18 months in China, Witsel returned to Europe last season with Dortmund.
"I had other offers and maybe I could have switched to Paris (PSG) or Manchester, but I didn't want to wait. I had a feeling that I was Dortmund's first choice," he told Goal.
"It's important to feel good when switching to a new club, so after talks with Michael Zorc, Lucien Favre and Hans-Joachim Watzke (Dortmund's sports director, head coach and director respectively) I chose to switch to Dortmund.
"Dortmund is is top club and I really wanted to go to a top European club. Maybe it was my last chance and it was the right decision."
