Bolton go into administration

Bolton are set to become the first English Football League club to go into administration for six years after appointing administrators.

The recently-relegated Championship side were given two weeks to appoint to an administrator after appearing in the High Court last Wednesday over an unpaid £1.2m tax bill.

Administration would see Bolton begin next season with a 12-point penalty.
