Bolton Wanderers are willing to pay big for Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse.

The Times says Bolton will offer £6 million, but Rafael Benitez, the Liverpool manager, is hoping that competition from Marseilles will hike up the price to nearer £8 million, a little more than half what the Merseyside club paid three years ago for the France forward.
