Bologna midfielder Fabbian hails Motta and Zirkzee for season form

Bologna midfielder Giovanni Fabbian admits he's enjoying his football this season.

Fabbian credits his form to Bologna coach Thiago Motta.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "What kind of coach is Thiago Motta? I get on very well with him. He is a football master who asks a lot from each of us and knows how to guarantee a very nice, very serene climate inside the dressing room, on and off the pitch. He knows how to be tough, when needed. And it helps to improve, technically and tactically.

"We are a group of boys who have a great desire not only to win, but to play football. Who consider this verb, to play, not as a pure definition, but as an invitation to experience football as invention and discipline, as talent and organisation. We are focused on the objectives that the coach and the club give us."

On teammate Josh Zirkzee, he added: "He has incredible skills, you can see it on the pitch. But beyond the pitch he has virtues that are perhaps less visible, but fundamental for a group: he is a very good boy, cheerful, funny. As a footballer he is very young and has room for growth."
