Boca Juniors boss Borghi states importance of Australia trip

Claudio Borghi, head coach of Argentine outfit Boca Juniors, believes a pre-season trip such as the one his side has undertaken to Australia is very important on many different levels.

The Argentine Primera Division club are in Melbourne to take on the Melbourne Victory tomorrow night before travelling to New Zealand to take on the Wellington Phoenix on July 23 and Borghi said it was a great opportunity for South American football to meet Australian football.

"For me, for Boca, it's very important to come to Australia. It's not usual to play against Australian teams. We will find ourselves playing against a style very similar to English football, it's very fast. In a culture way it's very important as well," he said through an interpreter.

"To travel this far, to be able to be in Australia and see what it is like. In Argentina we are pretty far off (from Australia). We would never think of coming to play here. The players have to have knowledge of those things, of the culture is important as well."
