Former Juventus defender Alessandro Birindelli has sung the praises of Rodrigo Bentancur.

Birindelli admits he's a fan of the Uruguayan.

He said, “Rodrigo Bentancur is doing something extraordinary this season, he has grown not only technically but also in terms of personality and self-esteem.

“(Miralem) Pjanic, in the last few weeks before the season stopped, was certainly not 100%. I don't know if its appropriate to think of a transfer but Juventus surely have a substitute in the team.

“Lazio? There is always someone going off the rails, this is not the time for controversy. The competent bodies are trying to do everything possible."
