Turkish giants Besiktas are aiming to complete the signing of Liverpool defender Joel Matip this summer.
The veteran centre half, who has played 187 games for the Reds since arriving in 2016, may be ready to move on.
Matip, who won the Champions League, Premier League, and FIFA Club World Cup at Anfield, may not be a regular starter next season.
Per Fanatik, Besiktas Sporting Director Ceyhun Kazancı went to England to meet with Matip's representatives.
The Cameroonian would not command a huge transfer fee, given he is now 31 and not an automatic first choice.
Liverpool could use those funds to bring in a new, younger defender as well.
