Feyenoord legend Mario Been believes that manager Arne Slot should not look to the Leeds United job.
The Premier League club secured Javi Gracia at the end of the season to keep them in the league.
There is a chance, however, that Gracia would be dismissed even if he kept Leeds up.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Been compared Slot to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and said the following on Leeds' interest: “I see him at the same level as Erik ten Hag. I think he should have a higher reach than Leeds.
“He can take it a step further. He can be a little pickier.
“I think one thing will be very decisive (in deciding his future) is achieving Champions League football.
“If Feyenoord are able to become the champions, and therefore participate in the Champions League, then Arne will stay for another year. Then there would be so much financially possible that he can really strengthen the team."
