Alejandro Bedoya made his first appearances for French club Nantes on Sunday afternoon.
The 26-year old American midfielder joined the club from Sweden's Helsingborgs earlier this month and came on during the second half of Nantes' 2-1 loss at Lorient.
Bedoya replaced Yohann Eudeline in the 52nd minute and had a great chance to level the match late only to see his effort cleared off the line by Lamine Kone.
Nantes, who beat Bastia 2-0 on opening weekend, remained fifth on then French Ligue 1 table ahead of next weekend's home meeting with champions Paris Saint-Germain.
