Melbourne Heart defender Michael Beauchamp is confident the new A-League club are getting close to playing consistently good football.
The Heart have taken just a point from their opening two matches but Beauchamp feels the group is slowly coming together to become a cohesive unit and believes it is just a matter of time before the positive results come rolling in.
"I think each training session, we are getting that (understanding) more. The banter is slowly coming into the team, which is a good thing," he told Sportal.
"If we can have that team spirit, towards the end of the season, if times do get tough, that's what is going to get us through games."
And Beauchamp feels that if the Heart can put their strength on paper into match conditions, then they will be hard to beat.
"With the names we have on paper, we've got a great mixture of young players and a great mixture of older and experienced players," he added.
"Across the board we are a pretty strong team but if we can get that on the field, I'm pretty sure every team is going to step up against us."
