Bayern Munich powerbroker Uli Hoeness admits making a check on Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo this season.
The Ecuador international was linked with Bayern before he left Brighton for Chelsea in August.
Hoeness recalled to FAZ: "The week before (I scouted Caicedo).
“I thought to myself: Spend 127 million euros on him? Others are welcome to do that. But FC Bayern will certainly never do that because it is simply too much money for us - regardless of the qualities of this player.
"We have an Aleksandar Pavlovic, who in my opinion can become a regular player at Bayern Munich in the future. He wouldn't exist in the first team if we had bought a Flying Six, or whatever it's called."
