Bayern Munich defender Pavard pushing for Man Utd move

Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard wants to sign for Manchester United.

The French defender does not want to play at right-back with the German champions.

Pavard, who is entering the peak of his career at 27, wants to play as a centre half.

Per The Mail, he has been promised a role in that position at United by coach Erik ten Hag.

While United had their opening proposal rejected by Bayern, they will go back in for Pavard.

The Frenchman will replace Harry Maguire in the Manchester United squad if he signs.

Maguire is on the verge of signing for West Ham United, with the Red Devils having accepted a bid for his services from the Hammers.
