Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers is attracting interest from German side Bayer Leverkusen.

There is a connection between the two clubs in the form of ex-Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

The Leverkusen coach looks set to raid his old club for the 19-year-old after he impressed last season.

Chambers had a successful loan spell at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

The Athletic claims that a deal could be done for Chambers in the coming weeks.
