Former Arsenal star Granit Xhaka could not wait to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The Swiss international has revealed that he was crying tears of joy when he transferred to Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite an outstanding season last term in England, which saw Arsenal finish second in the Premier League, Xhaka left early in the summer window.
"I'm a very emotional person, I like to cry and I'm not ashamed of it," he told Leverkusen's club channel 'The Werkself Friend Book'
"Of course, I also cried for joy at times. For example, when I made my transfer here to Leverkusen.
"I also cried tears of joy because I really wanted to go back [to German football after previous stint at Borussia Monchengladbach]. I think it's also part of it as a person."
