Phil Bardsley is set to break Sunderland's English Premier League appearance record this weekend.
The 28-year old England-born Scottish defender, who joined from Manchester United in 2008, has appeared in 170 league matches for the Black Cats which has him equal with former left-back Micky Gray.
Bardsley can become the stand-alone record holder when Sunderland take on West Ham United at the Stadium of Light on Monday night.
This season, Bardsley has started in 22 Premier League matches, doubling last season's tally.
