Barcelona are urging Tottenham and Arsenal to make offers for David Villa. The Daily Star says Spurs are the favourites to land the 31-year-old Spain star, who is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup.

But no deal has been sorted with Spurs - or Arsenal - and Barca are eager to get a move done.

They want to spend the cash on a new striker and also know Villa's salary will jump to €11 million for next season, courtesy of a clause in his deal.
