Barcelona have opened talks with Fiorenina about being their opponents for the Joan Gamper Trophy.
Barça's men and women had been scheduled to play Roma's men's and women's sides on August 6 but the Serie A side pulled out.
Talks then took place with AC Milan but it was not possible in the end for the Italian champions to take part in the fixtures at Camp Nou.
Fiorentina are now on the table, says Sport. The men's team finished seventh last season to qualify for the Europa Conference League -- and the women also finished seventh, curiously.
Conversations are still in the initial phase but at this stage of the summer there are not many options and the Viola represent a more than interesting possibility.
