Carles Puyol has stated his intent to remain with Barcelona by turning down offers from clubs in Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
El Mundo Deportivo reports that the centre-back has rejected a lucrative overture from an unnamed Russian Premier League outfit as well as one from a UAE club.
Puyol, who will miss this summer's Euros with Spain because of a knee injury, wants to stay with the Catalan giants for whom he has a contract until June 2013.
