Barcelona president Joan Laporta is looking forward to welcoming Vitor Roque.

The striker will join Barca in January from Athletico Paranaense.

Laporta told EFE: "He is scheduled (to arrive) at the end of December or beginning of January, for this winter market. The idea is to join as soon as possible.

"(Sporting director) Deco has explained to us that he is a player who has a goal and I think that now he will do very well for us, because he can help us a lot.

"We have virtuoso players, natural goal scorers like (Robert) Lewandowski and he will be a complement to the team."
