Barcelona president Joan Laporta has launched a furious attack on Real Madrid.

Laporta is fed-up with the taunts for Barca coach Xavi and also the digs over the Negreira case.

He said: "Madrid is not behaving well, it is doing an exercise in cynicism that is not acceptable.

"They cannot speak much of the power that governed the referees, look at who they have been for 70 years as managers or partners of Madrid. They are doing an exercise in cynicism that we do not accept. We spoke in the Super Cup, but we did not talk about this because it had not happened."

About the Negreira case, Laporta made clear: "It is sweet for the media. The purchase of referees has not been proven. I trust, in this case, in justice. I am a lawyer and Barça will be acquitted because the reality is that we have never bought referees and they will have to compensate ourselves for this orchestrated campaign."

The president also harshly criticised Real Madrid TV: "We have never practiced propaganda like Real Madrid TV. The Referees Committee or the Federation should enter. That is why they ask for the expansion of the construction, that they continue under the magnifying glass and can continue with those things.

"Look at the day of the Almería, a shame and they say that they help Barça. We are very angry."
