Barcelona are preparing a summer bid for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

Sport says Soler could be one of the great surprises of Barça's summer transfer market campaign.

The Blaugrana is very attentive to the future of the Valencia midfielder, considering him a suitable piece for Xavi Hernández's system.

The idea would be to sign him from June, but it is not ruled out to wait for next summer when he comes off contract, although relations with Valencia are good and an financial agreement between the two parties is being prioritised.

Also being considered by Barca is Soler's Valencia teammate, left-back Jose Luis Gaya.
