Barcelona are plotting a move for a former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper this summer.

The Catalan giants are, per Mundo Deportivo, trying to sign former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Spaniard has been without a club since the end of last season, when his United deal ran out.

While he has been linked to many clubs since, he has remained in the Manchester area and has not signed with any team.

Now it appears that he may have a chance to become the no.2 at Barca next season.

De Gea would be behind Marc Andre Ter Stegen in the pecking order at the La Liga giants.
