Galatasaray have decided against signing Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan.

Marca says the Turkish club had struck an agreement with Barcelona for a two-year loan deal for the Turkey international, who subsequently voiced his desire to stay at the Camp Nou.

"The fans of Galatasaray don't want me so I'll stay at Barcelona and fulfil my contract," the player said on Turkish television.

The deadline fell last night with Turan still a Barca player.
