Barcelona are in talks to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on deadline day.

Sport says Barça are seeking a six-month loan without a compulsory purchase option and after this period Barça could decide whether to keep him or not.

The Moroccan player was one of the sensations of the World Cup in Qatar and is on Barça's agenda. They must negotiate with Fiorentina his hypothetical departure. This season he has played 17 games in Serie A, 13 of them as a starter.

The 26-year-old was key to Morocco being one of the revelations at the last World Cup. He did an impressive job as a defensive midfielder.

His possible arrival would allow Sergio Busquets to be rested when needed.
