Barcelona due tidy compensation from UEFA for Euro 2020 players involvement

Barcelona are due compensation from UEFA for their players competing in Euro 2020.

Barcelona are to receive €2.6m as compensation for the Blaugrana players who have participated at Euro 2020, reports Marca.

No Barcelona man will take part in the Euro 2020 final, as Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Eric Garcia, Pedri and Martin Braithwaite saw their national teams get knocked out in the semi-finals of the tournament.

For their part, Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele and Clement Lenglet were all part of the France squad who didn't make it through the last 16, which is the same stage that Netherlands duo Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay both fell at.

The agreement reached between the European Club Association (ECA) and UEFA states that each club should earn 9,000 euros per day for each player that represents their respective national team, adding up from 14 days before the Euro 2020 opener.
