Barcelona comms chief Josep Vives insists there's no date set to discuss new terms with coach Ernesto Valverde.

Valverde's current deal expires at the end of the season.

Vives said: "We are happy with a great coach who embodies the values of the club. A tenacious person, discreet, humble. He has a contract and we are all very calm. We have to let Valverde work because we are facing the most important section of the season.

"Nobody puts deadlines. To the people, the deadlines are imposed on us. But adding pressure and setting deadlines is absurd. And when there is transparency, the deadlines are over. I reiterate what I have said about Ernesto and the club."
