Barcelona coach Xavi attempted to convince Ousmane Dembele to stay in crunch talks yesterday.

PSG are ready to pay Dembele's €50m buyout clause, with the France attacker willing to make the move.

Mundo Deportivo says Xavi met with Dembele yesterday in an attempt to persuade him to stay.

In fact, in the previous days Xavi thought he had convinced the player, but changed his mind when he contacted his agent.

Xavi insisted on one last attempt to convince him and reminded Dembele, in a meeting held on Monday morning, of Neymar's attempts to return, among other arguments.

But Dembele couldn't be convinced and is now ready to leave Barca for PSG this week.
