Barcelona coach Xavi has cast doubt on his future after their Copa del Rey quarterfinal defeat at Athletic Bilbao.

Barca lost 4-2 in extra-time at San Mames to heap more pressure on Xavi.

He later said: “It's a shame, I can't be happy.

“We play with boys, we are under construction, we have a very short squad.

"It is the beginning of something important, whether I am coaching or not. There is a future."

Xavi added: "You are doing surveys on whether I will continue as a coach or not. When you don't win, the coach is singled out."
