Barcelona coach Xavi on Dembele: Disappointing; I didn't expect it

Barcelona coach Xavi admits he's been left "disappointed" by Ousmane Dembele.

The France attacker is in the process of leaving Barca for PSG.

After victory over AC Milan, Xavi lamented: "I am disappointed. We could not compete with the PSG proposal. I tried to save him, but he told me that he had already spoken to Nasser (Al-Khelaifi) and Luis Enrique and that there was no going back. It is the law of the market. The proposal they make is totally out of our way. We cannot compete with it right now. It's a shame. Good luck.

"It is simple. He came to me that he had a proposal from the PSG, that he wanted to leave, that he has spoken with Luis Enrique, with Nasser and has a proposal with which we cannot compete. We have asked him why and he has not been able to answer. I sense that it will be personal. Disappointed? Yes. The important thing is that it has been clear. I wish him luck.

"I knew everything. Of the clause and everything. I'm in contact with him on the tour, all day. I knew there was a possibility. I saw him so happy, I didn't expect it. It is the market. Whoever does not want to be in Barça, you have to let him go."
