Barcelona coach Xavi has reaffirmed hopes of Vitor Roque joining them in January.
Signed in the summer, Roque is currently on-loan with Athletico Paranaense.
However, he is now set to be sidelined for eight weeks with an ankle injury suffered in a tackle last week against Internacional.
Xavi was asked on Monday about the circumstances and if it affected his arrival in January, but he pointed out that "there is a possibility that he will come in January".
Regarding the injury, he commented that "the doctors have spoken and there is no operation, he will undergo conservative treatment to recover well."
