Barcelona coach Xavi says Granada deserved their point on Sunday.

Barca were held 3-3 by Granada.

Xavi said: "We lost two points, a good opportunity to cut back. Granada played an intelligent game, they pressed us very well, they won duels.

"In the opposite field we did dominate. Congratulations to Granada and Medina for their approach. We had many moments to top it off and if we scored 2-0, which we were very clear about, the game would have changed.

"We have made mistakes that we cannot allow, giving away goals in defence. It is taking its toll on us this season."

Barca are now 10 points behind Real Madrid and Xavi said: "It is difficult, today even more difficult, two points more difficult. The difference is big, but not impossible. We are not going to throw in the towel.

"Against Villarreal we failed, today too... We have given away goals and situations. The team has had faith, courage, desire... but it is insufficient. It is a shame because it was a good opportunity to continue in the race but it becomes more difficult for us."
