Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta admits he's no fan of VAR.

VAR has been a much-discussed topic in the last couple of years, and the 58-year-old has offered his thoughts on the technology.

"As a football fan I don't like it," Laporta said.

"I like to argue on a Monday about a ghost goal or a penalty that was not given. Technology is a guarantee of a good refereeing decision, but I don't believe it.

"I have seen an obvious favouritism. Let them explain to me how they put the lines."
