Barcelona presidential candidate Agustí Benedito is convinced Josep Maria Bartomeu is unpopular fans.

Benedito does not believe that Barcelona's trophy-laden season will benefit Bartomeu at the polls.

"You can't get a clearer illustration than what happened in 2010: we voted when we had the best team ever, the side that had won the sextuple with Laporta as president, and the man who represented the biggest antithesis to Laporta, Rosell, won by a landslide."

He also attacked the current board.

"Barça is the sexiest brand in the football world, but nobody will come knocking at your door with an €80m cheque. It's clear that they didn't do a good job."
