Barcelona presidential candidate Josep Maria Bartomeu says he will appoint a technical director if he wins the election.

The incumbent in the presidential race has ruled out Luis Enrique taking on greater responsibilities than those of a coach.

"We never proposed for him to act as a manager. He wants to be a coach."

In this regard, Bartomeu explained that if he wins the elections, he will appoint a technical secretary for the first team "who will have a role similar to that of Txiki Begiristain during the Rijkaard and Guardiola era".
