Barca's Jordi Alba frustrated as Man Utd circle

Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba has expressed his frustration at the lack of playing time given to him this season by Barca boss Luis Enrique.

The 28-year old has only started 19 La Liga games this season, with Enrique preferring to adopt a three at the back system.

A marauding full back when he is at his peak, Alba is unhappy that he is spending more time on the bench than on the park.

'It's clear that, the more I play, the better,' he said via Metro.

'We haven't spoken about it, but a footballer always wants to play and I have not played as much as I've wanted to."

Despite his obvious frustration, Alba was also quick to express his desire to remain at Camp Nou, with clubs such as Manchester United sniffing the discontent in the air.

"My dream has always been to play here and stay at Barcelona for a long time."
