Eric Bailly has urged Villarreal fans not to lose hope.
The former Manchester United returned to Villarreal last month as a free agent.
Ahead of their clash with Mallorca, Bailly said: "I'm happy to be here, physically I'm fine and trying to catch up with the team. I had a medical exam, but everything is fine.
“We are aware that Mallorca is a good team, that they won the last game and that they will be strong. We are aware that it is going to be a very difficult match.
“Support from the fans is always important, this week we are playing at home and we are aware of the importance. We are preparing for the game with intensity all week, we are working well and we will see how we get to this game.
“What I always say is that I have to go step by step, game by game. It is true that we are on a streak that is not good, so we must react now for this Saturday's game. I hope we arrive well and can have a good result."
