Aurelio Andreazzoli has been named new coach of Genoa.

He leaves Empoli to succeed Cesare Prandelli as Genoa coach.

Although Empoli failed to stay up last season, they were praised for their attractive style of play.

Andreazzoli also worked for AS Roma between 2005 and 2017.

Genoa beat the drop last season by the virtue of a superior head-to-head with Empoli.
