Aubameyang masterclass as Arsenal move to seventh with Norwich win

Arsenal were convincing 4-0 winners over Norwich City at the Emirates on Wednesday.

The Gunners made it three wins from their last three games after failing to win in their opening two after the restart.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the opening goal thanks to a shocking mistake from Canaries goalkeeper Tim Krul after 33 minutes.

Granit Xhaka doubled the advantage four minutes later with a fine team goal.

It started from David Luiz's superb ranging pass to an open Kieran Tierney on the left touchline. The Scotland international played in Aubameyang, who played a perfectly weighted pass for Xhaka to fire past Krul.

Norwich came out firing after the half-time break but could only concede another goal when Aubameyang pounced on a horrendous pass from defender Josip Drmic.

Cedric Soares, in his first start for Arsenal, fired in the fourth to clinch all three points.

Mikel Arteta's side are now seventh on the Premier League table with 46 points.

Speaking after the game, Arteta said: "It's part of the process we have to expect.

"They are so willing, we convinced them even more this is the right direction. We cannot give anything to the opponent.

"I'm really pleased with the understanding of the game."
